The Football Association of Wales supports Aleksander Čeferin to continue as president of UEFA for the 2027–2031 term.
In a statement issued on 8 October 2026, the FAW said Čeferin had demonstrated strong and considered leadership while remaining committed to the values that underpin European football.
The association said it had valued UEFA’s commitment to its member associations and to protecting, developing and growing the game at every level during his presidency, and that it believed he was the right person to continue leading UEFA through the opportunities and challenges ahead.
The FAW said it looked forward to continuing its relationship with UEFA and working collaboratively under Čeferin’s leadership to protect the integrity of the game and ensure European football continues to thrive.
