    Police appeal for witnesses following serious road traffic collision in South Cornelly

    South Wales Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious injury road traffic collision that occurred at approximately 18:50hrs on Friday 15th of February 2019 on the A4229 South Cornelly by-pass.

    A grey coloured Peugeot 208 and a blue coloured BMW 330D were involved in the collision, the driver of the Peugeot a 30 year old male was conveyed to hospital with life threatening injuries.

    The road was closed for approximately 6 hours to allow for investigation work to be carried out, the Police would like to thank the community for their patience and understanding during this time.

    South Wales Police would like to speak with any witnesses to the collision, any person who may have dash cam footage of the incident or anyone who witnessed the manner of driving of the Peugeot or BMW prior to the collision. Please could witnesses contact the Roads Policing unit at Lakeside Police station on 101 quoting occurrence 1900057440.
