Ronald McDonald House Charities UK are inviting schools, community groups and businesses from across the UK to take part in their annual PJ Day on Friday 14 of June to help families get a good nights’ sleep.

[aoa id=”1″]The independent Charity provides free ‘home away from home’ accommodation to families with sick children in hospitals across the UK, enabling them to maintain a degree of a normal life and be there for their child at a time when they need their family the most.[/aoa]

Many groups have signed up to take part in the fun filled PJ Day and will be sporting their favourite, fluffiest and even craziest PJs! Those taking part are asked to make a suggested donation of £1 each to help the Charity continue to provide families with a place to stay.

But why stop there? Ronald McDonald House Charities UK are encouraging groups to take part in multiple additional fundraising activities including sweet treat bake sales, slipper sports and teacher challenges!

PJ Day is a great way to get the community involved in a fulfilling activity together and will ultimately help to raise funds for a great cause that is close to so many people’s hearts. The campaign is hoping to raise £22,000 which will enable the Charity to support hundreds of more families in the future.

Currently, there are 11 Ronald McDonald Houses each are situated just moments away from specialist children’s hospitals. Last year the Charity supported more than 6,000 families with children in hospital and in Ronald McDonald House Cardiff close to 1,2000 families have received a place to stay.

Ronald McDonald House Cardiff will be celebrating the day by holding their very own PJ Day sleepover in House. On Friday 14 June from 6-9pm, Lindsey from Pamper Me Boutique and Slumber Parties will transforming our ground floor dayroom into a magical room of princess and superhero themed tents, with movies and popcorn! Please come and join in the PJ Day fun.

There is still time to sign up for PJ Day! For more information on how to get involved please click here
