The South Wales Law Awards is delighted to announce the winners for the inaugural South Wales Law Awards 2019.

The South Wales Law Awards were held at the iconic Bear Hotel in Cowbridge on Wednesday 15th May 2019 and hosted by one of one of Welsh Television and Radio’s most popular presenters – Sara Edwards.

The awards have been launched to shine a light on the truly outstanding and inspirational work that the law community in South Wales does. The competition was very closely fought and challenging for the independent judging panel to decide upon.

    The winners are as follows:

    • Solicitor of the Year – Daniela Mahapatra – NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership (NWSSP) Legal & Risk Services
    • Family Law Services of the Year – JCP Solicitors
    • Residential Conveyancing Law Services of the Year – Red Kite Solicitors
    • Commercial Law Services of the Year – Loosemores Solicitors
    • Employment Law Services of the Year – Red Kite Solicitors
    • New Practice of the Year  – HCB
    • Personal Injury Law Services of the Year – Howells Solicitors
    • Contribution to Law & Society – Wendy Hopkins – Robertsons Solicitors
    • South Wales Law Awards Champion 2019 – JCP Solicitors

Founder of the South Wales Law Awards – Wesley Skene said:

“I’m truly humbled by the wide and diverse range of talent on display at the South Wales Law Awards. The law community contributes so much to our society, business community and Wales as a whole. It has be been my pleasure to be able to bring a spotlight to such great law practices and lawyers.”

The evening was also an opportunity to raise funds for Dreams and Wishes. A charity that does such great work and is dedicated to helping seriously ill children by making their dreams and wishes come true. £1,000 was raised on the night.

The awards would like to take the time to thank its tremendous sponsors – TSR Legal Recruitment, Conveyancing Data Services and Wales247.

Preparations for 2020 are already underway and are on course to once again be a glittering night for the law community.
