Events company Genero Productions has leased a 10,345 sq ft industrial unit on the Ty Verlon Industrial Estate in Barry.

The Penarth-based company provides services and products including event planning and production, exhibition stand design, video production, and sound and lighting equipment hire.

It has taken a 10-year lease on the detached industrial unit G, with single storey offices, at Ty Verlon at an annual rental rising to £55,000 per annum.  Landlord 3D Property Investments Ltd was advised in the transaction by the Cardiff office of property consultancy Knight Frank. Fletcher Morgan acted jointly with Knight Frank on behalf of the landlord.

Genero managing director Pete Leckie said: “We are extremely pleased to take on the lease of this excellently-presented facility. This will allow Genero to bring together all of the  operational departments in one location, also allowing further investment into our production stock and also housing all of our event preparation teams.”

Neil Francis, partner in the industrial agency team at Knight Frank said: “Genero has chosen a modern industrial unit in a popular location. Ty Verlon Industrial Estate is an established industrial location to the South East of Barry, six miles southwest of Cardiff City Centre.

“This letting provides further evidence of requirements within the market wanting detached units with secure yard space. It was pleasing to witness a good level of demand and conclude this letting to a growing local company.”
