Wealth manager Brewin Dolphin’s Cardiff office has strengthened its team with new appointments and several internal promotions, which will add further impetus to its growth strategy.

Joining the company with 20 years’ experience in financial services, Greg Tait has been appointed as financial adviser and will service a significantly increased demand for the company’s flagship wealth management service.

Having worked extensively in the Cardiff and South Wales market – most recently within the medical sector – Greg’s appointment takes the team at Brewin Dolphin’s Callaghan Square headquarters to 40 in total.

Geraint Hampson-Jones celebrates being promoted to the role of divisional director and continues to form part of the Cardiff office’s private client team as well as being the lead of the Company Exit Service. Fluent Welsh-speaker Geraint will continue to manage Brewin Dolphin’s Welsh speaking clients. He is also deputy chairman of Cwlwm Busnes Caerdydd.

Thomas Moore, who is also a Welsh speaker, has joined the office as Investment Management Assistant.

Victoria Tilstone (CISI accredited), who joined the Adviser Partnership Team in Cardiff in 2016 with 18 years’ industry experience, has been promoted to assistant director. She will take on additional responsibilities within the company’s discretionary management service to advisers and their clients in the Wales and West area.

Joining Victoria in an assistant director capacity is Meirion Davies, who has been promoted from his current position as head of the Cardiff office’s Portfolio Management team. Meirion has worked at Brewin Dolphin for over a decade.

Speaking about these latest developments, Adrian Watson, Divisional Director (Financial Planning), Brewin Dolphin Cardiff said:

“As people’s financial lives become more complex, and the economic climate more uncertain, we have seen an increasing need for trusted and expert advisers to take the strain from those who need help with their finances. Greg’s knowledge and experience will prove an asset and will enable us to reach out and help more local people with their financial needs. His presence will further strengthen our already well-established team in Cardiff”.

David Myrddin-Evans, Head of Office, Brewin Dolphin Cardiff added:

‘Our new appointments and internal promotions serve to strengthen our offering, keeping our existing clients’ needs at the heart of what we do, whilst also enhancing our service to meet the growing needs of new clients.’
