Fifty teams to take part in Race of Remembrance this weekend

One of the highlights of the UK motorsport calendar returns to Anglesey Circuit for the sixth year this coming weekend. Mission Motorsport’s unique Race of Remembrance features fifty teams in a 1,000km race.

Although primarily a ‘clubman’ event, the Race of Remembrance attracts a diverse crowd of racers from novices to experts. Mission Motorsport beneficiaries play a huge part in the event; organising, planning, providing, racing, spannering and covering the action.

Race of Remembrance – Pit Lane Refuelling

The twelve-hour endurance race will begin on Saturday afternoon and will continue until 9 p.m. when the all cars will return to Parc Ferme until the re-start on Sunday morning.

The Race of Remembrance is, however, a Remembrance Service with a race attached, not the other way around, so the entire focus is on the pitlane service at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday.

At 10:40 a.m. on Sunday, the race is halted by the Safety Car and all drivers return to be parked on the start/finish line in order. The Remembrance Service is held in the pit-lane directly below Race Control. Following the service, the race will be restarted at 11:20 a.m. and continue to the finish. The service is open to all, regardless of whether competing in the event.
