The Light Up a Life campaign ran between October 1 and December 31 and included a number of fundraising events and initiatives to help remember lost loved ones and raise much needed funds for the charity, with all donations going twice as far.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][ult_ihover thumb_shape=”square”][ult_ihover_item title=”Light Up A Life” thumb_img=”id^86102|url^https://www.wales247.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/0136094a-1aee-4039-829b-a7ca0076f781FCover.jpg.jpg|caption^null|alt^null|title^0136094a-1aee-4039-829b-a7ca0076f781FCover.jpg|description^null” hover_effect=”effect18″ block_click=”link” block_link=”url:https%3A%2F%2Fwww.theonlinebookcompany.com%2FOnlineBooks%2FCityHospice%2FContent%2FFiller||target:%20_blank|” title_font_color=”#81d742″ desc_font_color=”#000000″ info_color_bg=”#ededed” thumbnail_border_styling=”none” spacer_border_color=”rgba(129,215,66,0.75)” title_responsive_font_size=”desktop:22px;” title_responsive_line_height=”desktop:28px;” desc_responsive_font_size=”desktop:12px;” desc_responsive_line_height=”desktop:18px;”]The Light Up A Life online Book of Remembrance is a wonderful way to see, to remember and to celebrate your loved ones. They are the only charity in Cardiff that offer holistic end of life care and support to their patients at home, as well as offering additional therapies and day clinics at their centre including counselling, occupational therapy and alternative therapies.

Throughout the campaign City Hospice supporters also had the opportunity to write a message for a lost loved one in the hospice’s Book of Remembrance, which was on display at The Pantry, or in the online version of the book.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Liz Andrews, CEO of City Hospice said: “We are so pleased with how successful the campaign has been this year. It is so important to us that the families of those who receive care with us are able to celebrate their loved ones lives and know that we are there for them, even after their loved one stops receiving care.

“The Light Up A Life campaign helps up celebrate and remember those our supporters have lost and enables us to continue the work we do with families and those receiving palliative care.”

Ceri Brett from Hodge Foundation said: “We feel honoured to be able to support such a worthwhile charity who work so hard to support people throughout Cardiff. The campaign has been really successful this year and it’s really great to be able to match donations made during the campaign to ensure City Hospice can continue their work.”
