Cardiff Bus is alerting passengers to modified timetables in response to the latest Government travel advice surrounding the Coronavirus outbreak.
The operator will be running Saturday timetables across the majority of services on weekdays from Monday, March 23, with weekend services following their regular timetables.
These changes have come into effect following the Government’s latest briefing surrounding non-essential travel and will be in place until further notice.
All services will follow the Saturday service on weekdays from March 23rd, with the exception of the 12, 15, 64, 65, 65A, 98 and Cardiff MET M1, M2, M3, M4 which will follow their normal Monday to Friday timetables.
A shuttle bus will run between Wood Street in the city centre and Heath Hospital to connect customers on service 95 with the hospital.
Cardiff Bus said they had introduced these service changes in a bid to safeguard the health and wellbeing of all their customers and staff.
Operations and Commercial Director Gareth Stevens said: “We have taken the decision to limit most of our services to a Saturday timetable from March 23rd.
“This decision has not been taken lightly, but has been introduced following Government travel recommendations and with the health and wellbeing of all our customers and staff in mind.
“We recognise that these changes could have a significant impact for our customers, and we apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused. However, we feel we have taken the necessary steps, in line with Government guidance, to safeguard the health of our customers, staff, and the wider Cardiff community.
“During this period we will continue to carry out extensive daily cleaning regimes across our entire fleet, along with an additional clean during the day. We will also be carrying out thorough cleaning of hand rails, handles and any additional areas which customers may come into contact with.
“We are continuing to closely monitor all the latest Government and Public Health Wales guidelines relating to Coronavirus, and will keep our customers fully updated on all service-related developments.

Cardiff Bus’s customer service centre on Sloper Road will be closed to customers from Monday 23rd March, however customers can visit its Travel Centre at Westgate Street.
