Hundreds of FREE teaching resources made available to parents

Following the rise of coronavirus and the closure of schools across the UK, international stationery brand, STAEDTLER, has pledged its support of parents as they prepare to educate their children from home.

For the first time ever, parents of children between the ages of 4 – 11 years will be able to access STAEDTLER’s huge bank of curriculum-linked teaching resources — made available through the brand’s completely free Teachers’ Club.

With more than 16,000 live members, STAEDTLER Teachers’ Club UK is an online membership platform, normally reserved for the use of primary school teachers. But, from this week until further notice, parents and teachers alike will be able to access and download the Club’s extremely popular educational tools, designed specifically for pupils in KS1 and KS2.

While offering support to parents, it’s hoped that STAEDTLER’s teaching resources will also continue to be useful for thousands of UK primary school teachers — whether they’re preparing classroom activities to execute virtually or working to provide quality lesson plans for parents to use at home.

To browse the range of UK-syllabus-linked resources — which cover a variety of subjects from English, Maths and Science to History, Geography, Art and PSHE — all that parents and teachers need to do is register as a free Teachers’ Club member here.

Over coming months new resources will continue to be uploaded to the platform as normal, with teachers and parents to be notified of new content via the STAEDTLER Teachers’ Club Facebook page.

Rachel Owen, Head of Marketing at STAEDTLER UK, said:

“At STAEDTLER, we pride ourselves on the great relationships we have forged within the UK teaching community — so we felt it was important to give something back during this difficult and uncertain time.

“In an effort to safeguard the learning of pupils and offer guidance to parents as they adopt roles as home-educators, UK teachers have performed miracles in lesson planning since the UK Government’s decision to close schools — and we applaud them all.

“We hope that our decision to welcome parents as members of our Teachers’ Club will go some way towards supporting primary school teachers and parents alike in their new missions — and we wish the very best to everyone who is navigating this unprecedented path.”
