The Come Together Cast, being overseen by Swansea Council and the Swansea Music Hub, is available to all online.
It aims to highlight innovative work across the city, share ideas for maintaining wellbeing and entertain residents during the ongoing isolation period.
Robert Francis-Davies, the council’s cabinet member for investment, regeneration and tourism, said: “These are uncertain times so I’m glad that cultural services staff from our Fusion Project and friends at the music hub have found a dynamic new way to illustrate what Swansea has to offer.
“I urge those with access to the internet to listen to this podcast – it will help people’s general wellbeing and our community spirit.
“Like the council, the Swansea Music Hub and the Come Together Cast are here for Swansea!”
Simon Parton, of the Swansea Music Hub, said: “The podcast is a great thing to be involved with – it reflects the importance of coming together as a community during this time.
“I hope the people of Swansea enjoy it and get involved in making future episodes happen!”
The first episode went live on April 3 with the tagline Swansea, Community, Culture – it features a wide range of material including a look at local services and businesses adapting their traditional models in order to reach people in their homes during isolation.
It features good news stories about people who have been a credit to the Swansea community helping us to connect, get essential information, supplies and keep well during this time.
There’s a recommendations section with links to online resources to maintain well-being and fitness, education and cultural activities to watch and do.
The podcast also brings local music culture into homes across the city, with the Isolation Session feature facilitated through the Swansea Music Hub.
The main movers behind the project and the podcast and are Fusion volunteers Howard King and Josh David Reed, Fusion coordinator Amina Abu-Shahba and Simon Parton from the Swansea Music Hub.

They worked together previously on other projects including last year’s 50 Years of Swansea Music. This was a documentary film and Swansea Museum exhibition.
