The family of a man who died after he is believed to have fallen from a moving vehicle in Grangetown have paid tribute to him.
James Davies was seriously injured during the incident involving a green Skoda Citigo car on Avondale Road at around 8.30pm on Tuesday, June 23. He died in hospital the following day.
Paying tribute to the 28-year-old, his family said: “James was a much loved son and brother, he was loved unconditionally by all.
“James, a talented singer, motorbike enthusiast and a keen fisherman, had a heart of gold.
“James loved life and taking holidays with his family but more than anything he loved his mum and his daughter, they were his whole world. There was never a time when he spoke about his family that he didn’t smile ear to ear, he had so much passion and love for every single one of us.
“We are deeply shocked and saddened by his loss, he was such a key member of our family, he was our miracle baby.
“James has physically left us but we take comfort that he’s now with the angels, his dad and nanny and that his heart is still beating on having been able to help others through the gift of organ donation.”
South Wales Police is continuing to investigate the circumstances of the incident which led to James’ death and officers are urging anyone with information to come forward.
They would particularly like to speak to two individuals who were seen on CCTV walking along the pavement opposite Avondale Stores, heading in the direction of the River Taff, at the time of the incident. The two, who aren’t believed to have been walking together, could hold vital information which could assist the investigation.
