    Burglars force way into family home before making off in Range Rover

    Police in Cardiff are investigating a burglary in the Ael y Bryn area of Llanederyn which happened at around 2.20am on Thursday 20th August. 

    Two people forced access to a property and assaulted two occupants before making off in a white Range Rover Evoke.  This vehicle was recovered abandoned in the Llanderyn Road area just after 3.00am the same morning.

    Officers investigating the burglary have arrested a 39 year-old man from Llanedeyrn on suspicion of aggravated burglary.  He is being held at Cardiff Bay police station.

    South Wales Police is appealing for any witnesses to the incident or who may have seen the Range Rover being abandoned later in the morning to contact South Wales Police on 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 and quote reference 2000303569.
