Cardiff company blue self storage has partnered with local children’s charity Cerebral Palsy Cymru to provide a full year of free storage.
Cerebral Palsy Cymru is Wales’ leading charity for children and families living with cerebral palsy in Wales. The charity was founded by a group of families in 1992 to provide specialist therapy and support for children and their families.
Families are at the heart of everything they do and the charity supports local Cardiff families, as well as working with families across Wales living with cerebral palsy.
Earlier this year, the established Cardiff storage company blue self storage opened their new facility in Llanishen, South Wales and are delighted to be supporting the charity.
blue self storage’s aim is that a year of rent-free storage will significantly help Cerebral Palsy Cymru reduce some essential costs in order to spend more on their charity work.
“We are so thrilled to have the support of Blue Self Storage for the next year” said Claire Walker, Corporate and Fundraising Manager for Cerebral Palsy Cymru “As a charity, we need to raise £1.8M every year to provide our current level of service and 80% of this comes from fundraising activity. A third of this fundraised income is generated from the sales of pre loved items across our 4 charity shops and, as a result of the coronavirus crisis, space to store and quarantine these donations is vital. Blue Self Storage have kindly donated us with a unit to store a vast majority of these donations in, meaning we can go on to sell them in our charity shops and the profit raised will go towards continuing the work we do to provide therapy and support to children and families across Wales living with cerebral palsy.”
