Wolfberry Cyber is recognised as one of Wales’ leading cyber security consultancies, providing services across the UK and the rest of the globe, helping organisations in all sectors to identify and manage the risks they face.

The Corporate LiveWire Innovation Awards recognise the pioneers, ground-breakers, trailblazers and out-of-the-box thinkers from the corporate world who have made a global impact in the past 12 months. Judge Andrew Walsh said: “With their innovative VIPER VS technology, Wolfberry has made a huge difference to the world of cyber security.”

Wolfberry CEO Damon Rands said: “To be named the UK’s Most Innovative Cyber Security Company is a fantastic honour and is a great reward for all the hard work that the team have put in over the past twelve months. We look forward to building on our Viper technology and helping our clients improve their security posture, and of course continue to make cyber security accessible, affordable and understandable.”

The Welsh Government has helped to drive the creation of one of the most sophisticated cyber security ecosystems in Europe, enabling, encouraging and supporting multinationals, start-ups and academic experts.

As a result, Wales has one of the largest cyber ecosystems in the UK, with large companies like Airbus, Thales, BT, Aston Martin, General Dynamics and SANS Institute choosing to locate either their European headquarters or significant cyber operations in and around south Wales. Wolfberry was a founding organiser of the South Wales Cyber Security Cluster, Dubai Cyber Cluster and Cyber Wales.

Damon Rands again: “We’ve had great support from the Welsh Government, who have got behind us and helped to create this ecosystem.”

Wales’ tech sector is worth an estimated £8.5bn to the Welsh economy, it is one of the fastest growing digital economies outside London and continues to grow. We are recognised for our highly skilled workforce, world class universities and robust digital infrastructure, with the UK’s first 5G network launched in Cardiff.

Around 45,000 people are actively employed within the Digital Economy in Wales, and we are home to over 3,500 home-grown and multinational technology operations.

Corporate LiveWire received over 23,000 nominations from 32 countries around the world. Winners were chosen for industry recognition, innovative use of technology, marketing & branding, service excellence and ethical practice.
