The free event is organised by the council in association with First Cymru and support from Welsh Government’s Food & Drink Wales.

Cabinet member Robert Francis-Davies said: “Croeso is a great opportunity to showcase fantastic Welsh food and drink and attract new people into the city centre.”

First Cymru general manager Chris Hanson said: “Croeso promises to be a great two days and we’re expecting to be transporting hundreds of our customers to the event.”

Visitors heading to Croeso, held each day from 11am-4pm, will enjoy entertainment and cooking demonstrations.

There’ll be a marquee in Portland Street for cooking demonstrations. Chefs and home cooks will include Hywel Griffith, Nathan Davies and John Partridge.

The sounds of Welsh music will bring Castle Square to life and there’ll be children’s activities and entertainment.
