Drivers are being advised to plan ahead after the northbound on slip at Taff’s Well on the A470 was closed because of Welsh Water works.

Traffic Wales issued the warning, urging motorists to avoid the closure and use an alternative route where possible.

In a post on social media, Traffic Wales said: “A470 Northbound Taffs Well on slip. Closed due to Welsh Water works. Please find alternative road.”

Road users travelling through the area are advised to allow extra time for their journeys and follow any signed diversion routes.

Traffic Wales has not confirmed how long the closure is expected to remain in place. Motorists are encouraged to check for the latest travel updates before setting off.
