The A48M at Pentwyn has reopened in both directions following an earlier police incident.

The road is now clear after the closure caused severe delays in both directions and across the surrounding area.

Some motorists reported being stuck in traffic for more than 2 hours during the disruption.

Police have not provided any further information about the nature of the incident.
