A man from Aberavon has been jailed following conviction for actual bodily harm (ABH), two counts of common assault, one count of rape and for breaching his restraining order.

Corey Jones, 27, from Aberavon, Neath Port Talbot, sexually assaulted his victim at a house in July 2024.

He was sentenced to eight years in prison at Swansea Crown Court on Wednesday, March 5.

    Detective Constable Rabaiotti said:

“I want to thank the victim in this case for their bravery and strength in coming forward and speaking to us and their commitment throughout the course of the investigation.”

“I would encourage anyone who has been a victim of sexual assault, or knows someone who has, to come forward and speak to use.  We will listen to you, and we will investigate.”
