Admiral has been confirmed as the headline sponsor once again for the much-loved Swansea Bay 10K event, when it returns to the city next year.
Swansea Council, which puts on the event for thousands of runners each year, is pleased to announce that Admiral have extended their support of the Swansea Bay 10K for another year.
The 2025 race will be held in the city on Sunday 14 September, when thousands of people are expected to run or line the 10k route along Swansea’s sweeping bay.
Councillor Robert Francis-Davies, Cabinet Member for Investment, Regeneration, Events and Tourism at Swansea Council said: “The Admiral Swansea Bay 10K attracts thousands of people, many running for charity. It benefits not only local charities, but also the health and wellbeing of all the competitors and aims to inspire runners of all abilities.
“We’re delighted that Admiral has signed up to support this great event for another year. The 2024 race was a huge success with more than 4000 people taking part, including children in the junior races, and we’re confident the 2025 event will be just as popular with both visitors and local people.”
Lorna Connelly, Head of People at Admiral, said: “We’re excited to be headline sponsor of the Admiral Swansea Bay 10k once again for 2025, our 19th year supporting!
“It’s always great to see so many people from the Swansea community come together and get involved, including our very own colleagues. Roll on the race!”
The Swansea Bay 10K, which was first held in 1981, has gained enormous popularity, offering both seasoned runners and newcomers a scenic course along the city’s stunning seafront. As well as the main run, the event provides a race for wheelchair-based athletes, a mascot race and offers 3k and 1k options for children.
