Alton Towers Resort has today shared a heart-pounding first-look at its newest attraction: Toxicator, as it reveals the date when thrillseekers can experience its intense spins for the first time.

The newly-released footage gives a pulse-quickening hint at the intense spin patterns and centrifugal forces riders will face.

The sneak peek shows never before seen views, giving guests a taste of the dizzying experience which awaits them.

Those brave enough to submit to the spin can do so from Saturday 15th March when the record-breaking ride officially opens. Guests can even experience the ride for the first time in the dark as part of the Alton After Dark event.

The topspin ride is the highest of its kind, towering at 78ft thanks to its 16ft elevated platform.

Positioned in Forbidden Valley, the ride is flanked by the ominous Nemesis Reborn, which was revamped last year after an incredible 18-month transformation.

Toxicator marks the next chapter for Forbidden Valley, offering thrillseekers an unrivalled variety of high-intensity thrills.

The only topspin ride in the world to be elevated above ground level means spectators can watch the entire experience from underneath.

Water fountains dramatically shoot up around the attraction, representing the chemical solution formed from the Nemesis’ saliva.

Bianca Sammut, Vice President of Alton Towers Resort, said: “We’re excited to be giving fans a flavour of the truly ‘spincredible’ power of Toxicator.

“From the 15th March those brave enough to submit to the spin will be able to experience the latest that Forbidden Valley has to offer.”

Toxicator is the latest technology from the shadowy organisation known as The Phalanx and is used by them to extract and separate toxic saliva from the Nemesis beast.

The extreme centrifugal forces are designed to extract and refine toxic saliva from the Nemesis beast, converting it into a chemical solution so powerful it can melt anything it touches.

    Toxicator Fact File

    • The topspin ride will allow more than 500 riders per hour
    • This double-sided version is one of only two in Europe
    • Height restriction: 1.4m
    • Green-lit water fountains on both sides of the ride
    • Total height will stand at over 78ft tall. This is due to the ride being elevated on a 16ft structure, that guests walk underneath (a world-first)
