Robyn Hughes, a Partner at HSJ, spoke of Andrew’s appointment:

“To secure Andrew’s services is fantastic news for our business and our clients. We are extremely lucky to have another experienced professional join our ranks and help to continue delivering excellent service to our clients.

“Andrew will oversee the delivery of our audit and assurance arm, HSJ Audit and Assurance Limited, and will be actively engaged in driving this area of our business forwards whilst constantly seeking to innovate by developing our audit approach and making the most of new technologies.”

[/aoa]Having qualified with a local practice in 2006, Andrew spent 12 years working with a top 15 national audit firm before making the move to HSJ. Having managed a range of audit assignments from start-ups to established organisations, Andrew has been involved in audits ranging from the very smallest businesses through to those with a turnover in excess of £400m per annum.

This experience covers a range of specialist sectors including Corporate Groups, Service Charges, Travel Agencies and Tour Operators and Not for Profit Organisation.

Speaking of his move to HSJ, Andrew said:

“I am incredibly excited to join HSJ and work with the firms’ fantastic clients. I have spent over 15 years working in accountancy and this was the perfect move for me at this stage of my career.

“I wanted to build upon my experience in audit and assurance and the opportunity to join an innovative and expanding firm such as HSJ has been the perfect result for me. I look forward to helping push the firm to even greater heights in the coming years.”

Andrew is a registered accountant in the Civil Aviation Authority scheme as well as holding an ICAEW Diploma in Charity Accounting (DChA), whilst away from the office, Andrew is Treasurer of a fundraising charity and has experience of organising large public events.
