A survey carried out by Age Connects Cardiff and the Vale has found that 28% of participants without a Will think they don’t need one, with others blaming a lack of time and being too young for not getting their affairs in order. A fleet of 36 electric buses launched at the start of the year have saved over 550 tonnes of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, Cardiff Bus has reported. The bus operator has released the figures ahead of Clean Air Day (16th June), the UK’s largest campaign against air pollution, hoping to encourage local people to take the bus to help save the environment. Since taking to the roads in January, the Yutong E12 zero-emission single-decker buses have clocked up 714,322 kilometres in operation and have saved an impressive 558,000 tonnes of CO₂ from being released into the atmosphere. Specialist endometriosis nurses have been appointed in each Health Board in Wales to improve services for the chronic condition which affects one in ten women. The posts are being funded by a £1m per annum investment from the Welsh Government as part of wider plans to improve women’s health services. A TEACHER who had received a lesson in first aid from the Welsh Ambulance Service had to put his skills to the test when his mother had a cardiac arrest.
