Joel Crump from Ebbw Vale was jailed for six years at Cardiff Crown Court after pleading guilty to being concerned in the supply of cocaine. United Welsh has raised more than £12,000 for its charity of the year, the MND Association. Motor neurone disease (MND) was a cause close to the hearts of staff at the housing organisation after popular staff member, Ros O’Shea was diagnosed with the condition in March last year. A courageous mum-of-two with incurable cancer joined colleagues for the last mile of a 200-mile charity walk she inspired. Around 70 staff from the Everbright Group’s hotels took on the gruelling 10-day trek from North Wales to Penrith in relay teams to raise money for Breast Cancer Now. North Wales-based Rib Ride Adventure Boat Tours has secured a £150,000 investment from the Development Bank of Wales to support the purchase of a new, state-of-the-art rigid inflatable boat, strengthening its year‑round offer and extending the visitor season on the Menai Strait.
