A pioneering space mission to explore the moons of Jupiter will be protected from some of the harshest radiation in the Solar System, thanks to calculations by Aberystwyth University researchers. The Jupiter Icy Moons Explorer (JUICE) is set to take off on its 390-million-mile journey from French Guiana on 13 April 2023. Claims that 90 per cent of wet wipes contain plastic are outdated and untrue, say a leading wet wipe manufacturer. Nice-Pak International, which produces a range of wet wipes on behalf of global brands and retailers, asserts that its UK output is already 90 per cent free of plastic. The company, which has factories in Flint and Wigan, has made a significant investment and determined effort to switch to plastic-free materials. Ceredigion County Council’s latest project to improve the sport and leisure facilities in the county has been given a £204,000 boost from the latest round of Sport Wales capital funding. The project’s aim is to upgrade the current disused floodlit tennis court area adjacent to Plascrug Leisure Centre to an all-weather multi-sport facility. Preliminary works are taking place in order to meet the conditions of the grant. The aim is for construction works to take place over the summer months. Centrica, which invited communities and entrepreneurs in Wales to apply for a grant of up to £100,000 from its Energy for Tomorrow social impact fund for initiatives that can deliver affordable, accessible and sustainable energy solutions to help tackle climate change, has unveiled that four projects in Wales will receive a total of almost £300,000.
