North Cardiff estate agent Thomas H Wood has renewed its sponsorship deal with local football club Cardiff Corinthians A.F.C. into its 2023 season. Affectionately known as Cardiff Corries, the Radyr-based club is currently top of the Premier Division of the South Wales Alliance Football League ahead of local rivals Canton Liberal FC and Llanrumney United FC. Following the success of the inaugural GWCT Welsh Game Fair last year which welcomed 10,000 visitors, organisers have announced that the event is set to return to Vaynol Estate in Gwynedd, North Wales on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 September 2023. Menter Môn has launched an initiative which sees the use of sustainable and natural alternatives to plastics in the construction of footpaths. In collaboration with the Isle of Anglesey County Council, under the ‘Made with Wool’ project, locally sourced Welsh wool is used as a base to cross wet areas and repair footpaths. The wool paths have been trialled in locations across Anglesey, with local community volunteers and Cwlwm Seiriol building paths near Aberlleiniog Castle and Rhos Llaniestyn in Llanddona.
