A survey carried out by The Red Dragon Centre ahead of Titanic’s remastered release in 4K 3D at ODEON has answered the age-old question – Jack could have fit on the door with Rose. At least, 100% of people surveyed The Centre thought so. Interestingly, despite the tragic and frustrating ending, 80% still classed Titanic as a romantic film and they all want to see it again when it returns to the big screen. With 30% of respondents having seen the original in The Red Dragon Centre on its release 25 years ago, the same year the Centre opened its…

A £500,000 appeal has been launched to save one of Wales’s most famous hotels and transform it into a community enterprise. The Owain Glyndwr Hotel – site of the first National Eisteddfod – stands on Corwen’s London Road, the historic A5 from London to Holyhead, which has carried Roman Legions, horse-drawn mail coaches, Irish MPs and holidaymakers for almost 2,000 years. The Corwen Partnership has been formed to raise enough money from a share issue to buy the Grade Two-listed building in the town centre and invest a further £200,000 in updating the property. In a race against time they…
One of North Wales’s longest-established law firms has just recruited four new legal eagles as it continues to expand. It is also notable for the number of women it employs among a staff of over 50 from Managing Director Sarah Noton down and for the breadth of its legal expertise which include two of only three Court…
More babies in Wales will benefit from the arrival of a new electric vehicle to support donor milk collections. The hub, located in Swansea’s Singleton Hospital, allows more sick and premature babies in the region to receive donor milk in neonatal intensive care units, and enables local women to donate their surplus milk, many of whom have not been able to do so previously. Now the service is…
