WALES men’s field hockey team delivered an interactive and engaging afternoon to over 7,000 school children as they continue their quest at the 2023 FIH Hockey World Cup in India. The session was delivered at the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KITT) and Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) in Odisha, ahead of the Wales v India clash on Thursday 19 January. Almost 400 more nurse training places will be created in Wales thanks to an 8% increase in the NHS Wales training budget, Health Minister Eluned Morgan today announced. The Welsh Government has approved Health Education and Improvement Wales’ (HEIW)’s ambitious Education and Training Plan 2023-24 for NHS Wales, backed by a record £281m investment package. This is the ninth consecutive year that health professional education and training budgets will have increased in Wales. A cafe, gallery, and pizzeria have raised nearly £40,000 to help “raise awareness for ape conservation.” Alpine Coffee Shop and Gallery and Hangin’ Pizzeria in Betws-y-Coed railway station have raised funds as part of its owner’s, Jacha Potgieter and his wife Gwyn’s, mission to help endangered apes.
