The RSPCA is appealing for information about a mare and foal who were taken from their field in Caerphilly, just days before they were about to be adopted. Piebald mare Tulip and her foal Pippa, who is just 11 weeks old, had been in foster care near Caerphilly, since they were rescued from neglect in December 2021. The pair were about to be officially adopted by the farm owners. SWARCO Smart Charging, a leading provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure, has completed the installation of two rapid electric vehicle chargepoints at Machynlleth in Powys, enabling residents and visitors to access charging at the Maengwyn Street car park. Millbrook Primary School pupils and staff will be temporarily relocating while building investigation works are carried out on the Bettws site. Children were due to return to school on Monday 5 September for the start of the autumn term. Reception to year six pupils will now begin the autumn term on Thursday 8 September in the former Brynglas adult training centre (ATC).
