Property consultancy Knight Frank has sold a warehouse unit with offices on Avondale Industrial Estate in Cwmbran to commercial property developer PMG. Acting on behalf of IG Doors Ltd, it sold the freehold of the 51,695 sq ft Unit 4 warehouse to PMG, which plans to spend a further £500,000 in refurbishing the unit. Dr Sophie Wynne-Jones a human geographer, specialising in farming and rural change at Bangor University, has been awarded a Policy Fellowship to work with Welsh Government’s teams for Agriculture and Land Management Reform. The Fellowship, funded by the Economic Social Research Council, one of the UK’s national research funding bodies, enables Dr Wynne-Jones to support the Welsh Government team tasked with the design of bespoke Welsh policy, following the UK’s departure from the EU. A mature student who suffered a devastating family tragedy during her degree course has now successfully graduated and dedicated her success to her late daughter. Megan Jones was just 15 when she lost her battle with leukaemia in February 2019. Winners of the 2022 Tabernacle Art Competition have been announced by MOMA Machynlleth. More than 150 works were submitted and the winners, highly commended and a selection of other works will be exhibited in the Pulpit Room at MOMA Machynlleth until September 7.
