A boy who died from a brain tumour is the inspiration behind a book to help families impacted by the deadly disease. Finn McCabe from Barry in Wales was just 12 when he died from a diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG), a year after he was diagnosed. Welsh Government has launched an ambitious new tobacco control strategy for Wales, which seeks to secure a smoke-free society, less than 5% of the adult population smoking, by 2030.  The strategy lays out firm actions and polices with the aim of finally ending the tobacco epidemic in Wales. Aldi is giving store colleagues in Wales a pay increase for the second time this year, maintaining its position as the UK’s best-paying supermarket. From September, all hourly paid colleagues at its Welsh stores will receive an increase of 40p an hour on their current hourly rate, taking Aldi’s minimum pay rates for Store Assistants to a sector-leading £10.50 an hour nationally and £11.95 for those inside the M25.
