Caldicot Library is celebrating 25 years of providing great books, community spirit and support, this year. To mark this special milestone, Monmouthshire County Council will be rejuvenating the Community Hub building in which its based. The refurbishments include new flooring, re-painting and the creation of two new community rooms, making the space ready for its next quarter century. Former National Poet of Wales honoured alongside Welsh graduates at Open University in Wales ceremony in Newport. Broadband schemes throughout Wales will receive more than £9 million worth of funding to help them deliver fast and reliable broadband to communities that need it, thanks to the Welsh Government’s Local Broadband Fund. The fund, which was set-up to help local authorities and social enterprises address connectivity issues in their communities has already helped a number of projects across Wales with a further four projects now being awarded funding.
