Alex Anderson, from Caerleon, Newport, has been awarded the prestigious British Empire Medal for charitable services to people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in Newport. A Swansea city centre businessman is praising the on-going transformation of Wind Street into a more family-friendly destination. Bruno Nunes, Chief Executive of the Creative Hospitality Group, says the quality of the outdoor spaces now being created there will soon benefit the city centre as a whole. Bridgend County Borough Council is looking into the provision of a new youth hub in Bridgend town centre. Initial plans involve a multi-purpose facility at Evergreen Hall, next to the council’s Civic Offices.
