Abingdon-based pressure-vessel fabrication specialist LTi Metaltech acquires Bridgend-based Vessco Engineering Ltd. The award-winning fabrication business, LTi Metaltech, completed the acquisition this week, with the former owner of Vessco Engineering, Julian Vance-Daniel, remaining in the combined group in a senior business development role. LTI Metaltech were ably supported and advised throughout the acquisition process by Oxford-based Shaw Gibbs and Freeths. As part of its ongoing commitment to financial education for young people, Principality Building Society has launched Dylan’s Saving Squad Teacher’s Hub. Soft drinks manufacturer Radnor, which produces the UK’s leading school compliant drink’s brands, has made the Anti-Bullying Alliance its Charity of the Year. Radnor Fam consists of the Radnor Fizz, Radnor Fruits and Radnor Splash brands which sell over 55 million units a year to UK school. The company is making a donation to the charity and encouraging its staff to fundraise during the course of the year long partnership, which runs until June 20, 2022. BBC Children in Need has announced that it has awarded new grants totalling £395,242 to five local projects working with disadvantaged children and young people in Swansea. The new funding awards – made possible following BBC Children in Need’s 2020 Appeal in November – will support the delivery of vital services to young people in the area and means that the charity now has more than £1.6million invested locally. One project which has been awarded funding is Surfability UK CIC. It will use a three-year grant of £100,000 to provide surfing-based activities for disabled children and young people in Swansea.…

New Local Area Coordinators have started work in Swansea and are now out and about getting to know residents and organisations on their patches. The new recruits bring the number on the team to 22 and means even more communities in the city are being served. People living in Neath Port Talbot will soon be asked for their views on both existing and planned walking and cycling (Active Travel) routes in the county borough. This follows earlier Active Travel consultation which took place from November 27th, 2020 to January 15th, this year with a total of 2,642 contributions received and 1,040 people responding.
