Cardiff Bus is offering free travel to NHS staff across all its services as it aims to support those at the frontline in the fight against the Coronavirus pandemic. The operator is offering free journeys to all NHS staff, many of whom are travelling by bus to reach hospitals and patients, over the coming weeks. South Wales Police is continuing to appeal for help to trace Michael Chalk, aged 51 who has been missing since March 10. Michael was last seen following a road traffic collision at about 8pm where the car he was a passenger in collided with a wall in the Parkmill area of Swansea, on the junction between the A4118 and North Hills Lane that leads to the Three Cliffs Bay Holiday Park. A leading North Wales builder has slammed the Government for lack of clarity after shutting down its sites because of the coronavirus epidemic. Mark Parry, joint managing director of Brenig Construction, said the company made its decision on moral grounds as it was impossible for staff and sub-contractors to work safely. South Wales Police officers are releasing CCTV images of a suspect involved in the stabbing that happened in Callaghan Square at 9.13am on Friday 20 March 2020 near the British Gas building. Following the incident, one man was arrested, charged and remanded and was sentenced to 18 weeks imprisonment for public order. Officers now have CCTV images and are appealing to the public to help trace the second man involved in the incident. The newly announced job retention scheme, which applies to all UK companies, allows employers (subject to eligibility) to access financial support to continue paying their employee’s salary for those who would have otherwise been laid off (made redundant) during this crisis. A LLAY football club has netted a huge financial boost for their ambitious ground improvement plans after a hat trick of generous donations from construction firms. Llay Miners Welfare FC, the club which produced former Wrexham and Spurs striker Chris Armstrong, is planning a new enclosure for their ground which would move them closer to top level status in Wales and provide a new revenue stream. RSPCA Cymru is appealing for information to try and track the owner of a cat with an injured eye found in Treorchy. The ginger and white cat was found by a member of the public in the Dilys Street area who called the RSPCA due to concerns about his eye. The cat has been taken into the care of the RSPCA for treatment with the animal welfare charity now hoping to track his owner. Unfortunately the unneutered cat has no microchip or collar.
