Dozens of Swansea residents who would like to raise funds for community projects attended a workshop hosted by crowdfunding specialists. The free event, at Morriston’s historic Tabernacle Chapel, was run by specialist funding organisation Spacehive. Finalists have been announced for the 2020 National and Junior Chef of Wales competitions, with 13 talented chefs set to put their skills to the test to compete for the prestigious culinary honours. South Wales Police is investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred in the car park of a residential home yesterday afternoon (Monday, December 16). Officers were called to Morgana Court on Porthcawl Road, South Cornelly, at approximately 2.35pm after a silver Renault Captur was in collision with a woman. The 85-year-old woman died at the scene. Her family has been informed and is being supported by specialist officers. HM Coroner has also been informed. A murder investigation is underway following the death of a man in Barry town centre this afternoon. Emergency services were called to Holton Road at 4pm following reports of a serious assault. Despite the best efforts of paramedics, a 23-year-old man died at the scene. His next of kin has been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
