Dozens of Swansea residents who would like to raise funds for community projects attended a workshop hosted by crowdfunding specialists. The free event, at Morriston’s historic Tabernacle Chapel, was run by specialist funding organisation Spacehive. Finalists have been announced for the 2020 National and Junior Chef of Wales competitions, with 13 talented chefs set to put their skills to the test to compete for the prestigious culinary honours. The competitions provide the perfect stage for chefs, who must be of Welsh descent or work or study in Wales, to showcase their skills in front of a panel of top judges. An innovative new organisation is leading a business revolution that can help communities across North Wales and empower local people to realise their own potential. South Wales Police is investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred in the car park of a residential home yesterday afternoon (Monday, December 16). Officers were called to Morgana Court on Porthcawl Road, South Cornelly, at approximately 2.35pm after a silver Renault Captur was in collision with a woman. The 85-year-old woman died at the scene. Her family has been informed and is being supported by specialist officers. HM Coroner has also been informed. Strong southeasterly winds are expected to develop during Wednesday afternoon across parts of southwest England and west Wales before spreading to Northern Ireland and parts of southwest Scotland later. A murder investigation is underway following the death of a man in Barry town centre this afternoon. Emergency services were called to Holton Road at 4pm following reports of a serious assault. Despite the best efforts of paramedics, a 23-year-old man died at the scene. His next of kin has been informed and are being supported by specialist officers. A section of Holton Road remains cordoned off and a number of enquiries are ongoing to located and arrest those responsible.
