Originally from Bridgend, Rob Thomas, who still lives there with his wife and two children, aged 12 and 25, took up his new post in July 2019 in Cardiff. An Abertillery man has been banned from keeping any animal for life and handed a suspended prison sentence after he failed to care for a large number of horses appropriately.  Edward George Bath (d.o.b 04/06/1961) of Arrael View, Abertillery appeared at Newport Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 3 September for sentencing after he previously pleaded guilty to four animal welfare offences. At sentencing – he was handed an 18-week custodial sentence for each offence – which are to run concurrently. Each are suspended for a period of 18 months.
