£460,000 over two years has been pledged towards the restoration of Cardigan Market Hall. [aoa id=”1″] Ceredigion County Council’s Cabinet made the decision to provide the money to the Cardigan Building Preservation Trust on 30 July 2019. Cardigan Market Hall is a Grade II listed building in the centre of Cardigan. It houses the indoor market with space for 49 market stalls. It is owned by the council and is managed by Menter Aberteifi under a three year management agreement. The Amazon fulfilment centre in Swansea has recently made donations to two community sports clubs in the local area. Skewen Rugby and Sports Club and Llangyfelach Football Club have each received delivery of a £500 donation from the local Amazon team. South Wales Police is appealing for information concerning the whereabouts of a missing young boy called Ciaran Carmody. Ciaran is 14 years old and was last seen on Saturday 27th July 2019 at 12.50 hours in Cymmer, Neath Port Talbot. Officers believe he could be in the Cardiff or Newport areas. He is described as having brown hair, approx. 5ft 1″ in height, and last seen wearing Nike grey tracksuit bottoms, a Nike Black hoody top and black trainers. A man re-arrested in connection with the death of Lauren Griffiths in Cathays, Cardiff, has been released on bail pending further enquiries. Lauren, 21, was found at a flat in Glynrhondda Street at around 6.30pm on Tuesday, April 30. A 22-year-old man, known to Lauren, was re-arrested at his home address in Wrexham yesterday morning on suspicion of Lauren’s murder. Lauren’s family, who live in the Oswestry area, have been updated and continue to be supported by family liaison officers.
