Three tech start-ups based at the Welsh Innovation Centre for Enterprise (Welsh ICE) have raised over £1m in investment between them in just 12 months. Following the refurbishment and rebranding to Stonehouse Pizza and Carvery from Crown Carveries, we visited the restaurant located in the outskirts of Cardiff to see what the fuss is all about. Cardiff University is consulting on its plans to develop a new purpose-built computer science and mathematics building. The 10,000m2 building will bring together the School of Computer Science and Informatics (COMSC) and the School of Mathematics (MATHS) into one world-leading facility. The building on Senghennydd Road will support the growth of both departments and provide opportunities for greater collaboration and research. Aberystwyth University students are amongst the most satisfied in Wales and in the UK as a whole, according to the annual National Student Survey (NSS) that has been published. The latest NSS results show that overall satisfaction amongst students at Aberystwyth University stands at 90% – seven percentage points higher than the average UK figure of 83%.
