A body has sadly been discovered in the area of the Menai Strait following extensive searches for a missing 17-year-old. One of the key rail routes between Wales and England has seen 60,000 extra passenger journeys made and a 27% increase in trains arriving on time over the last year. Transport for Wales has revealed new figures for the Wrexham to Bidston rail route showing that between January and July this year, 197,047 journeys were made on the line. For the same period in 2023 the figure was 138,743. And in July 2023, just 48.4% of trains arrived within three minutes of schedule. This July that figure stood at 87.7%. Newport Food Festival has announced that celebrity chef, Cyrus Todiwala OBE, DL, will be taking part in the chef demonstration programme on Saturday 13 October. Cyrus is an Indian chef proprietor of Café Spice Namasté, which has won Michelin awards for 23 consecutive years. In 2012 Cyrus was also honoured to cook the Diamond Jubilee Luncheon for the late Queen, Elizabeth II. Welsh Government Ministers recently visited My Support Team (MyST) in Pontypool to reinforce the importance of specialist mental health support for young people in care. A new way of treating people with broken bones has now been rolled out in health boards across Wales, Health and Social Care Cabinet Secretary Jeremy Miles has announced. The All-Wales Fracture Liaison Service ensures that patients aged 50 and over with a broken bone after a fall have their bone health and falls risk checked and managed to lower their risk of any further fractures in the future.
