Tiny Toes Ballet, the UK’s only pre-school ballet syllabus to be integrated with the Early Years Foundation Stage, will launch a new franchise in Swansea this month – the city where the business began.

Designed for boys and girls aged six months to seven years, Tiny Toes delivers fun, themed dance classes focused on helping children learn about the world around them. Studies have shown children learn best by ‘doing’, and Tiny Toes offers a great way of helping them learn through dancing.

The national award-winning company was founded in Swansea by local mum and dance teacher Emma Morgan in 2010. She began with just 10 pupils one Saturday morning in a church hall in Sketty and now has franchises all over the UK.

The new Swansea franchise, run by local mum and dance teacher Eleanor Caplikiene will enable more local children to experience the magic of Tiny Toes Ballet.

Eleanor took up ballet at the age of three, so she knows how much impact dance classes can have on young children. She has danced all her life, covering everything from ballet, tap and modern to line dancing and ballroom dancing.

Eleanor went on to gain a BA (Hons) in dance from the University of Wolverhampton. She has 10 years’ management experience, and is now marketing director at Tiny Toes’ head office as well as being the new Swansea Franchise owner.

Tiny Toes’ founder Emma Morgan is delighted to be welcoming Eleanor to her new role within the Tiny Toes team:

“I’ve been hugely impressed by Eleanor’s work as marketing director and by her enthusiasm, commitment and understanding of the Tiny Toes concept,” she says. “Her impressive career background perfectly equips her to increase her involvement with Tiny Toes by taking on the Swansea franchise, and I know it will blossom under her leadership. The Swansea franchise has a special place in my heart because this is where Tiny Toes Ballet began – so seeing a new franchise open here brings us full circle.

“It’s always exciting welcoming more children to our community of tiny dancers, and I’m looking forward to visiting Eleanor’s new classes to see how everyone is getting on.”

The Swansea classes, which are due to start in the New Year, include Tip Toes for children aged six months to 18 months, Twinkle Toes for 18 months to 3 years old, Talent Toes for children up to four, Twirlers up to five and Spinners up to age 7.  Tiny Toes also offers tap classes to pupils aged 2+.

The classes will run at Sketty Park Community Centre, Heather Crescent, Sketty, SA2 8HS on Saturday mornings, Rechabite Hall, Gowerton, SA4 3EA on Wednesday evenings and in Pennard Parish Hall, Pennard,  SA3 2EA on Tuesday evenings. Eleanor will be adding more classes of different age groups and at different locations over the coming year.
