Azets, the UK’s largest regional accountancy firm and business advisor to SMEs, has announced a raft of promotions in South Wales, as part of a growth plan for the area.

Craig Yearsley, who has been with the firm for over 10 years, has been promoted to partner, focusing on audit. His experience sits across both public and private sector clients, and in his new role, will be responsible for overseeing a considerable portfolio of SMEs as well as a variety of larger group companies, and government bodies. Working alongside Craig, Claire Thompson has been promoted to Director in the audit team with a focus on the charity sector. Claire has been with Azets since 2007 and is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and has also gained the Diploma in Charity Accounting.

Andrew Isaacs and David Holden have been promoted to director in the Accounts and Business Advisory Services team. Andrew has been with the firm since leaving university in 2007 and will continue to provide services to a wide range of clients within the SME market, ranging from larger companies to smaller, owner-managed businesses. David is a qualified member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and has a wealth of experience in working in both practice and industry.

Alongside these senior promotions, several other members of the Azets South Wales team have been promoted. Ben Howells, Dave Seymour and Simon Hodge have been promoted to senior manager. Lucy Dean and Richard Adams will both be promoted to manager in the ABAS team whilst Charlotte Winterbourn and Callum Ryan have both been promoted to manager in audit. Also in the audit team, Katie Owens, Bryony Lewis and James Spencer have been promoted to assistant manager. Sarah Thomas has been promoted to senior administrator in Monmouth.

Sarah Case, Partner at Azets South Wales commented: “The promotions across our Cardiff, Swansea and Monmouth offices show the total dedication of the team across the board, in a variety of capacities. Each promotion is incredibly well deserved, and we look forward to supporting the team in developing their careers and in turn, growing the business in line with our strategic plan.”
