Wales offers some fantastic bingo halls, ranging from converted theatres to brand-new structures, catering for the older age around lunchtimes to a younger clientele late into the evening.

Bingo is a versatile game that dates back to Renaissance Italy. There are games with as low as 30 balls up to the full 90-ball game. Even that can be changed, as evidenced by the huge variety of 90-ball games available at new bingo sites, which demonstrates how the game can be simply tailored to numerous themes.

    Castle Bingo New Canton (Cardiff)

The club is about a mile outside of Cardiff City Centre. Except on Wednesday and Saturday, when doors open an hour earlier at 10.30 a.m., the club is open daily from 11:30 a.m. Every evening at 11 p.m., the club closes.

Castle Bingo New Canton charges £3 on Wednesdays and £5 on Saturday mornings. Their midday and evening programs cost between £6 and £10. The £6 games are offered Sunday through Friday afternoons and Monday through Thursday evenings. Teaser, Early, Main, Americano, Castle Xtra, and Superlink Flyer are all included in the price.

Prices for eCubs packages start at £12 in most cases. It’s also worth checking out the “Specials” option on their website, where you’ll find a plethora of deals to take advantage of each month.

    Mecca Bingo Swansea

Mecca Swansea is a purpose-built Bingo Club located in Cwmdu Industrial Estate. They are open from 11 a.m. on weekdays, 10:30 a.m. on Saturdays, and noon on Sundays. Monday through Wednesday, the club closes at 11 p.m., and the rest of the week at midnight.

The club is reasonably priced, with games ranging from £2 to £15. Throughout the week, morning bingo costs £2.50. Afternoon books and main sessions range in price from £2.50 to £15 with the majority of tickets falling on the cheaper end of the spectrum. Evening games range in price from £2 to £5, except for the main tournaments at 7 p.m., which cost £15 Monday through Thursday and £20 on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

If you don’t feel like getting out of the house, you can play at Mecca Bingo’s online website instead.

    Club 3000 Bingo Cardiff

It is conveniently located in the Excelsior Industrial Estate, right off the A48 Western Avenue. Prices for the Quickie, Early, Main, and Late start at £1. The lowest sessions are normally held Monday through Thursday, with weekend sessions costing up to £10. They also run special promotions in which if you play on specific days of the week, you get the next day early and main for free!

Club 3000 Cardiff is open from 11 a.m. to midnight Sunday through Friday, and from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. on Saturday.

    Castle Bingo Morriston (Swansea)

It is located just outside of town near Asda, McDonald’s, and Matalan. The fee for the Saturday morning session is £5 for 6 pages. Most afternoon classes will cost you £5 (£8 on Friday and Saturday). Mondays and Wednesdays are £10, Tuesdays and Thursdays are £5, and Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays are £15 each.

Extra games like Castle Xtra, Americano, and Late + Cashpot cost an additional £1 — £3 per ticket. The club is open daily at 11:30 a.m. (10:30 a.m. on Saturday) and has two main bingo sessions every afternoon and evening. Every evening at 11 p.m., the club closes.

    Apollo Bingo Rhyl

Apollo Bingo Rhyl isn’t just for us locals in Wales. If you’re in the mood for a trip from Chester or even Liverpool, why not check out this bingo hall. It is located near the Vale Road Bridge, right off the main high street. The Thursday evening main is now £2, the weekday, Saturday evening, and Sunday afternoon mains are £5, and all other sessions are £10.

Early sessions are available at 1 p.m. and 6:50 p.m. Every day, between 1:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., the main sessions take place. They are open every day at 11 a.m. (10 am on Saturday). Monday through Thursday, 11 p.m., and Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, midnight.
