Global biotechnology company Genesis Biosciences has announced the launch of Evogen ONE, an all-in-one bio-based cleaner and odour eliminator.
Manufactured in the UK, the new concentrate has been designed as a single versatile solution to replace multiple conventional cleaning chemicals across more than eight professional application environments including washrooms and sanitary areas, agricultural environments, industrial facilities, and waste handling and refuse areas.
Evogen ONE is an advanced probiotic cleaning formulation built around bio-based components and specialised Bacillus cultures. Rather than relying on aggressive chemical agents, the dilutable concentrate uses a combination of rapid odour encapsulation, targeted soil and stain degradation, and naturally derived raw ingredients to deliver an effective and environmentally responsible cleaning solution.
The concentrate’s dual-action technology neutralises odours instantly while breaking down organic matter at source over time. Plant-derived surfactants loosen matter from surfaces while beneficial Bacillus microbes digest the underlying organic residues responsible for malodours. Once applied, the microbial activity remains active and continues working on surfaces for up to 148 days after application, helping to prevent future build-up and maintain ongoing cleanliness.
Dr Emma Saunders, General Manager at Genesis Biosciences, said: “One of the biggest challenges facing commercial teams is cleaning regimes. Traditional cleaning systems often consist of multiple cleaning products across sites, complex COSHH documentation, higher procurement and training costs, and inconsistent results.
“A move towards consolidating cleaning protocols into a single, more efficient and sustainable approach is required which is why we are delighted to launch Evogen ONE as a practical step forward. It is simply one product, one protocol, one solution.
“This is the clear message we will be presenting to the professional cleaning sector at Interclean Amsterdam this week. Cleaning can move beyond conventional chemistry and practices; the future of effective, sustainable hygiene lies in advanced microbial science. By introducing next-generation probiotic solutions like Evogen ONE to the market, we aim to help organisations rethink the products they use by reducing chemical complexity, improving cleaning efficiency and minimising environmental impact without compromising performance.
“Our innovative formulation, created with our eco-benign® approach, aligns with the growing demand for lower-toxicity, low-impact cleaning systems across commercial sites. The shift from purely chemical masking to biological degradation marks a meaningful change in operations with asset protection becoming a carbon reduction strategy in its own right.”
A key part of the innovation behind Evogen ONE is rooted in Wales, with Genesis Biosciences operating a European technical facility in Cardiff.
