Sports clubs and organisations across Caerphilly are invited to apply for artificial turf and 3G pitch allocations for the upcoming winter season.
Applications will be open until Sunday 7th June, providing clubs with the opportunity to secure training and match slots across facilities throughout the county borough.
Allocations will be made in line with the Cabinet-approved Allocation Criteria for Artificial Sports Pitches and 3G Pitches, with priority based on football and rugby club rankings. This approach ensures a clear, consistent and fair process that reflects the structure of the game and supports clubs across all levels of participation.
Applications will be reviewed by the Sport and Leisure service, helping to manage demand while maximising access to high-quality facilities for community use.
Cllr Chris Morgan, Cabinet Member for Waste, Leisure and Green Spaces, said:
“Our artificial pitches are a vital resource for clubs and communities across Caerphilly. This process ensures a fair and transparent approach to allocations, supporting clubs to plan ahead for the winter season and continue providing opportunities for their players.”
Clubs are encouraged to submit their applications within the deadline to be considered.
This approach supports the ambitions set out in the Sport and Active Recreation Strategy 2019-2029, helping more people to be active, more often, while strengthening community sport across the county borough.
