Caerphilly van converter unveils bold new brand identity

Caerphilly-based van conversion specialists Vantastec have revealed a bold new brand identity as the company looks ahead to the future.

The refreshed look has been developed in partnership with Cardiff creative agency Limegreentangerine and features a modernised dragon logo that nods to Vantastec’s Welsh heritage. The design also incorporates a fan-like form, symbolising the business’s position as one of the UK’s leading converters of refrigerated vans.

Founded in 2006 by Gareth Edwards and Colin Smith from a spare bedroom, Vantastec has grown into one of the UK’s largest van converters, now operating from a 30,000 sq ft headquarters in Ystrad Mynach.

Speaking about the rebrand, Mr Edwards and Mr Smith said:

“Our new brand identity perfectly acknowledges the past 19 years of success while readying us for the future. We wanted it to reflect our core values of trust, expertise, reliability and simplicity.

“These values are crucial to how we operate as a business. Though our operations span across the entire UK, we remain a local business at heart. Supporting our customers and offering tools for them to grow their businesses has always been our goal.

“Alex and the team at Limegreentangerine delivered exactly what we were looking for. We’d like to thank them for all their hard work on this project.”

Limegreentangerine, whose clients include the Cardiff Devils, the Football Association of Ireland and the Professional Golfers’ Association, were tasked with shaping Vantastec’s new identity.

    Creative Director Alex Down said:

“Vantastec already had a brilliant reputation as the UK’s leading fridge van experts, so we were thrilled to work with their team on a refreshed brand.

“We helped deliver a focused, strategic evolution, refining their existing recognised brand. The new identity is bolder, clearer and more energised – a truer reflection of Vantastec’s ambition and abilities.

“It builds on their core strengths of trust, reliability and confidence, reinforcing their position as market leaders while providing a framework for the expertise and customer-first service that sets them apart as they continue to grow.”
