With more than 40 accreditations in 20 specialist technology areas, CNS has taken the steps to further establish themselves as a leading provider of cyber security and infrastructure solutions by gaining two more accreditations in quality management and information security standards.

The first accreditation the Barry-based business secured is the ISO 9001:2015 for quality management. The accreditation requires a business to demonstrate that they are providing their customers consistent and good quality services that meet customer and regulatory requirements.

The second accreditation CNS attained is the ISO 27001, which is an international standard that describes best practice for an ISMS (information security management system). To secure this accreditation, the company must be able to demonstrate it is following information security best practice, and provide an independent, expert verification that information security is managed in line with international best practice and business objectives.

Speaking about the two new accreditations, Sarah Edwards, managing director at CNS, said: “We are delighted to have secured both ISO accreditations. By attaining the two accreditations, we are able to further establish ourselves as one of the UK’s leading cyber security companies by adhering to best practice and ensuring the security and quality of our information systems.

“We pride ourselves on the dedication we show by further investing in our company and staff to make sure we are fully trained and certified, so to be accredited with the ISO 27001 and ISO 9001:2015 is a great way for us to lead by example and is a testament to the amazing work our team provides, and we couldn’t have achieved it without them.”

CNS has recently established itself as one of the biggest certification bodies in the UK after certifying its 1000th Cyber Essential customer at the end of last year. Completion of the Cyber Essential scheme, along with the recent changes announced in the European Data Protection Regulation, makes a future where businesses are protected against cyber threats entirely possible.
