Residents and visitors to Pontypridd town centre are advised that Berw Road Car Park will close for one week from May 20. This is necessary for the facility to be deep-cleaned and other essential repair work to be carried out.

The public car park, located next to Pontypridd Police Station, will be closed from Monday, May 20, and is scheduled to reopen from Monday, May 27.

All areas of the facility will be thoroughly cleaned, including all floors and the two stairwells. The closure is needed to accommodate the different aspects of work, which will also include some additional maintenance activity. Site notices will be placed at the car park in advance.

Alternative car parks are available at several locations around Pontypridd town centre. These include five Council-owned facilities – Gas Road Car Park (short-stay, open for 24 hours), Goods Yard Car Park (long-stay, open for 24 hours), Millfield Car Park (long-stay, open for 24 hours), Catherine Street Car Park (long-stay, 7am-7pm) and Sardis Road Car Park (long-stay, 7am-7pm).
