Cardiff Bus customers can now get cheaper tickets, up-to-date travel information, and even event recommendations thanks to its newly re-launched travel app.

The operator’s latest Cardiff Bus App features a host of new and improved additions aimed at enhancing customers’ journeys and providing up-to-date information.

The app, which will replace its iffapp, enables customers to check live journey times, track their bus, access cheaper mobile tickets, and even plan the best route to access local events.

Alongside this it will feature a new events and destinations guide which will recommend fun activities and days out that can be easily reached by bus.

Cardiff Bus commercial manager Gareth Stephens said the new app was a significant step forwards in keeping its customers informed with all the latest travel details, and would undoubtedly enhance their journeys.

He said: “By bringing our iff app and live times app together the customer experience will be enhanced – and also save some precious space on our customer’s devices.

“From checking the live time for your bus or using the improved journey planner, going on to buy the ticket journey is seamless.

“We know that our m-tickets are popular, and alongside our recent introduction of contactless payments on bus, our app update means that there are lots of easy ways to buy your ticket.

“This app is available to download from the App Store now, or if you have already installed be sure to update so you don’t miss out!”

Customers are being encouraged to download the latest app before tickets for purchase in the existing iffapp are withdrawn from Sunday evening.

From this date, customers won’t be able to buy mobile tickets on the iffapp, however they will still be able to activate or use any existing tickets already purchased.
