A brand-new children’s play area has officially opened in Llanrumney, bringing a safe and fun space for families to enjoy in the heart of the community.
The play area, located next to Llanrumney Hall, was shaped by ideas from local councillors and feedback gathered during public engagement in 2024.

Delivered through Cardiff Council’s Neighbourhood Renewal Scheme (NRS) and supported by the UK Government’s Shared Prosperity Fund, the project aims to provide a welcoming space where children can play and families can come together.
The NRS is a city-wide programme designed to support local regeneration priorities. It delivers small-scale projects put forward by councillors and developed in partnership with residents, community groups and agencies to address identified needs in neighbourhoods.
Cardiff Council said the play area is a positive example of how community involvement helps shape local improvements.
